Apart from the fields mentioned above, you may also add more information about yourself in your Account Page. You may choose to add the following information to your account:
- Profile picture
Further, we will also be collecting the following additional information from Sellers or Donors who will post products on Snaxchange, for each product posted:
- Product image
- Pickup or Delivery?
- Delivery cost
- Pick up time
- Product Description
Under the new GDPR Data Protection Laws of 2018, all Snaxchange Users have the following rights:
- The right to access provides users with complete transparency in data processing and storage – what data points are being collected, where are these data points being processed and stored, and the reason behind the collection, processing and storage of the data. Users will also have to be provided a copy of their data free of cost within 40 days.
- The right to be forgotten gives users an option to erase personal data and stop further collection and processing of the data. This process involves the user withdrawing consent for their personal data to be used.
- The data portability clause of the GDPR provides users a right to download their personal data, for which they have previously given consent, and further transmit that data to a different controller.
Thus, a Snaxchange User can request Snaxchange Ltd. to provide information on what data points have been collected for the User, request to delete collected data stored along with deletion of account or request for data to be transmitted to a different data controller. All requests need to be sent to info@snaxchange.com. Such requests will usually receive a response within 5-10 working days.
Please note that by agreeing to be a Snaxchange User, you will allow Snaxchange to share your data points collected with other users as needed for completing an online trade or transaction (buy/sell products).
Please also note that your data points will not be visible to Snaxchange registered users. Only your name will be visible for the purpose of buying products from a Seller selling or donating products on Snaxchange.
Your Selling or Donation details will only be shared with a buyer once a transaction has been made. The details will be shared via a secure email or encrypted WhatsApp communication.
